Your gift to Community News Lab matched through 12/31

At Community News Lab, we’re reimagining public sidewalks in San Francisco. We're designing and building digital neighborhood bulletin boards, in partnership with local artists and community organizations, that display local news and community information, and bring joy and beauty to the neighborhood. We prioritize high foot traffic locations in low income and non English speaking neighborhoods.

Your donation to our Community Art Fund helps us pay local artists from different San Francisco neighborhoods and host community design sessions across the city.

The Greater Sum provides strategic training and mentoring for early-stage nonprofit innovators. We invest in organizations that are creating new solutions to pressing challenges and are preparing to scale their impact. We share their stories so that philanthropists like you can join in supporting them.

If you represent a grantmaking organization and would like to be connected with this nonprofit, contact us directly and we’ll make an introduction. Individuals who want to learn more about Community News Lab can visit communitynewslab.org.

The Greater Sum supports organizations that are scaling either by expanding their service area or by teaching others to replicate their innovation. Because each nonprofit in the Promising Practices cohort is a graduate of our incubator, we know they are building a plan for sustainable growth.

Note on donations: Your gift goes directly to this nonprofit. The Greater Sum covers all matching funds and campaign costs; the only deduction is the standard platform processing fee.
