Child Life Disaster Relief empowers and supports children and families in crises by integrating child life professionals’ services into impacted communities. If you’ve never met a child life professional, I encourage you to learn more about their work. While child life professionals typically work in healthcare settings, Child Life Disaster Relief volunteers use their training to help children cope after disasters. Their network stretches nationwide, and volunteers both respond locally and deploy to major disasters.
We’re proud to support Child Life Disaster Relief as a member of The Greater Sum’s 2020 Nonprofit Cohort! Visit their website for printable handouts and resources to help children cope with COVID-19, and follow them at @CL_DisRelief for updates.
